How'd you miss these?

1. I'm with the people rolling their eyes.

2. Nevertheless, what about PanAm and TWA, to name a couple of huge airlines that are no more.

There were probably multiple slogans, but I recall the following:

Eastern: "Fly Eastern, number 1 to the sun."

Braniff: "When you got it, flaunt it." (I think Mel Brooks wrote that line for "The Producers" before Braniff adopted it as their slogan.)

I liked the Eastern slogan that was something like, we fly to X cities, Y countries, and one Magic Kingdom.

Nothing to do with CO - but a fun thread.

There are some great ones out there:

Pan Am:
You Can't Beat the Experience
The World's Most Experienced Airline
We Fly The World The Way The World Wants To Fly

Eastern
The Wings of Man

TWA
Up, Up and Away
You're Going To Like Us
One Mission. Yours

PSA
Catch Our Smile

National
Fly Me

Why isn't this in OMNI?

That being said, I wonder if the Braniff jingle at the end of South Park episodes is real....?

Air Florida - Fly a little kindness. Now Everone Can Go. Fastest Growing Airline in America.

ATA - On ATA, You're on Vacation

ValuJet -

America West - Lower fares, fewer restrictions

Midway (two incarnations...one based in Chicago, the other at RDU)

EOS

Skybus - Now Everyone Can Fly

PSA also used "The World's Friendliest Airline"

Eastern - We have to earn our wings every day. Also, The Wings of Man.

As for slogans, take a look at this Database of Airline Sloans. It lists some current and some defunct airlines. Here's another one that's a bit shorter.

Take a look here for a pretty comprehensive global list of defunct airlines with the years they operated. No slogans though.

Can we please move this? This OP has been posting some non-CO related garbage.
