I'm a newbie when it comes to international travel, so forgive me if what i'm asking is ignorant.
I will be travelling from ORD to SFO to SIN back to ORD. In my travels to Europe, I've always tried to use the international code share carriers as they seem to provide a higher level of service than the domestic carriers (UA,AA).
I would like to use the staralliance for this trip, as I have status with them.
Can anyone recommend how to utilize carriers such as ANA or Singapore Air? Woud you use their sites to book flights?
I've checked on kayak and it seems to give me mostly domestic carriers overseas.
Any notes/thoughts/ideas will be appreciated.
Also, any recommendations of short day trips in Singapore and Phnom Penh, Cambodia are welcome too.
Thanks,

manlee I'm going to move your question over onto Travelbuzz!, since it's off topic for the Communitybuzz! board, and the members on that forum will be better placed to assist you.

Are you flying F, C/J or Y?
UA doesn't have code-share agreement with SQ, so you would need to book SQ coded flight if you want to fly SQ.
And, honestly, there is absolutely no advantage of purchasing codeshare flights.
I normally fly UA if purchasing Y and upgrade to C using SWUs/Miles.
If purchasing F or C/J, I'd purchase ORD-SFO-HKG/ICN-SIN on SQ1 or SQ15.
