'Things' stuck between Airplane window panes

The other day I was on a (airline name deleted) flight in a window seat. As I looked out the window I noticed a huge dead bug (like 2" sized mosquito) trapped between the window panes. I am still puzzled about how it possibly have gotten in there, and removing it would be understandably difficult as well. Anyone else see anything else between the window panes?

I've seen quite a few dead bugs stuck in between window panes. Pretty common, and I have always wondered how they've managed to find themselves in there.

I've seen what looks like blood droplets between the panes on more than one CRJ and only on CRJs. Weird.

Insects could conceivably somehow crawl in to this space, but chewed gum? It seems this could have only gotten in there from a service crew, or could there be another explanation?

the spaces between the panes are not sealed. this stuff is not like thermopane or household double/triple pane glass.

double/triple pane household glass has to be mfg on east or west coast. it cannot stand the pressure differential when crossing the great divide.

the panes on airplanes that i have poked at are plastic, not glass. i have not looked lately(usually take aisle seats), but have seen holes in the top of the separator.

Yep, I've seen the pressure equalization hole(s) as well. They're typically about 1mm in diameter...hardly enough to stuff things through...

Interesting this thread should come up now as I was on a flight yesterday, Thai Airways, Airbus plane, and I could have sworn when the plane angled up into the sun under the right conditions there was a shadow of some strange text that appeared in between the panes. It appeared to be either Thai script or perhaps Hebrew. Sorry, I don't know either and at a quick glance they look similar to me. I quickly glanced back to the window behind me and the same text was there also, so there was definitely something on the glass or nearby causing this shadow. I examined the window panes as carefully as I could (probably looked to the other passengers like I was crazy examining the glass so carefully), but I could not see any markings on the glass to cause this shadow. The strange text was only visible for a few seconds and when the plane finished it's banking and the text disappeared. Later a similar bank, but with the sun at a different angle produced no text.
