surely there are non north american flights that are a couple of thousand miles. they will not be easy to search or find.

MATS probably has a couple scheduled flights from andrews to ramstein daily.

Not the longest, but RAR-PYE (847 miles, but I think it stops at AIT, so AIT-PYE at 685 miles) in a 9 seat E110 over open ocean to an unpaved (?) runway must be interesting.

Maps of the above.

I think the implication was commercial passenger flights. It's been a while since Delta flew C-130s.

(Okay, it's an L-100).

Air Marshall Islands used to run an HS-748 (up through the late 1990s) from Majuro to Nadi (Fiji), with stops in Kiribati and Tuvalu....total time something like 14 hrs (including stops), distance 1757NM.

The longest I can find today is Air Tahiti, which flies an ATR-72 from PPT-GMR (Gambier islands)...1028 miles, block time of 3 hrs 25 mins. Severely weight restricted, I'd guess

According to my data, the longest nonstop passenger route is Mogadishu-Jeddah (1421mi) served by Jubba Airways with an IL-18.

While it may be a meager 312 miles, it certainly *seemed* to be the longest the last time I took it. Trying madly to get home to my wife who, at that point, had been in labour for about 20 hours

I'd love to fly on an IL18... it seems Jubba Airways has 2 of them and no other aircraft. They fly Dubai to Djibouti w/o stopping in Somalia. Might be worth the trip!

Not too long of a flight.

Horizon Air, Dash-8
LAX-RNO 391 miles.
Very scenic route, smooth ride until arrival into RNO. The pilot said the mountains around Reno channel the air currents in such a way as to cause lots of turbulence. Experienced the same upon takeoff from RNO.
