I've always used LH when going to Malta since!
My freshman year of college (1997), there was a guy on my floor with FS. We couldn't land and we had the attention span of, well, freshmen. We played darts with the planes. I try not to talk about that very often in actual personal contact situations, as it is a bit awkward to think about what we were doing.

Goodness. The last thing I'd want to do is to play MS Flight Sim while paxing. All I want to do is to sleep, eat, sleep, eat and sleep some more.

Yeah tell me about it. I spent an awful lot of time crashing planes into areas around airports, cities and buildings in FS until 9/11 and the Gestapo society happened. Actually, I feel like I can go back to doing that without any repercussions, plus the graphics are amazing now ^

I don't know about that, but this is the kind reaction ("Oh no! A terry wrist.') was expecting when I saw the thread title.

Nothing, typically.

I watched Mayday on Discovery Channel on the seatback TV on a WS flight. Is that geeky or creepy ?

Wirelessly posted (HTC Herald P4350: HTC_P4350 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 6.12))

Reminds me of that ad for FSX...

Pilot 1: "you know we're in a real plane now, right?

Pilot 2 playing FS: "I know but this is so much cooler!"

Re pilot playing MSFS in cockpit. I'd rather have my pilot awake & doing that than what KAL stewardesses relate about the cowboys at the controls. Often both asleep.

MSFS during flight would NOT be fun

As one of the earlier poster indicated, the computer needs to be off during takeoff and landing so using the MSFS during the middle of the flight would not be very exciting. The most interesting part of the MSFS is trying to land a plane followed by taking off and the least interesting is to keep in flying.
You can use a GPS to find out where you are at any time while on-board so getting the current location would NOT be a problem. Also the flight plan is not usually on a direct line between the two cities so that can pose a slight problem in trying to exactly match a flight.
I have flown from JFK to NRT by starting it in the eveing then put it on an autopilot for the night. When I ckeck back on it after waking up, the plane is near NRT so take back on the control and TRY to land. I have not been able to successfully land a 747 or any other plane in MSFS so I've given up on the program until I pickup some suggestion on what to do to successfully land.
Oh, well.

I have never used Flight Simulator in actual flight but I will sometime.

I hope that MS Flight Simulator has a future

From the BBC:

The future of Microsoft's long running Flight Simulator series has been cast into doubt, after the software maker US laid-off the entire development team.

NO WAY?????

Well I stopped playing FS long ago but the fanbase is enormous and I question why they would lay the whole team off.

I agree. Anyone who would react to that comment does need scrutiny.
