As I found out last week, MCO has free wi-fi. ORD, where I am more likely to get stuck, does not.

MSP used to be free, but no longer is.

In my travels, I've found that the cheaper the hotel, the more likely it is to have free wi-fi. Go figure.

My wife and I always joke about this. This rule goes for most amenities really... A $40 travelodge will have a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, free wifi, free parking, etc...

Stay in a luxury hotel and on top of the $300+ you are spending per night, you're paying $12 a night for internet, $15-30 a day for parking depending on the city, and lucky to have a Starbucks within walking distance (or $8 coffees available via room service) :D

Don't know about the US but in Australia all McDonald's eating establishments now have free Wi Fi. No pressure to purchase food.

Limited to 50mb per session and I noticed on the T&C that usually only 14 users at one time.

Still it worked for me.

I may have said this before... but there is a much better signal outside the CO Prez Club @ the end of B... worth the walk down there and not turned off @ night, plus power nearby

CMK10 Sep 22, 2009 3:26 pm

Here's a fun one...Tupelo, Mississippi (TUP). 3x NW SF3s from MEM (and continuing on to Muscle Shoals, AL) a day. The airport has some very nice free wireless...harder to find is an outlet though!

Last week I had free wi-fi at SEA throughout the Delta terminal (was it "S" gates?).

Free Airport WiFi

Apologies if this is in the wrong spot or has already been covered and please move as appropriate. I did do a search, but didn't come up with anything that I found useful - of course, that could have something to do with lack of sleep and stress from downsizing a 6 bedroom house 3 storage crates solo and coping with psycho-kitty's reaction to his new life as an inside kitty and the distubance around him.

I have a 4 hour layover in Dusseldorf on Monday morning and I was wondering if anyone knows if they have free WiFi? I looked on their website and I found it unclear.

I also thought I would post the airports I know to have free WiFi for those of us who fly economy.

YVR has free WiFi
YUG has free WiFi
CDG terminal 3 gives 15 mins of free WiFi - enough to check email at least

OSL will get free wifi within short time for one hour.
RYG and TRF have free WiFi.

http://www.travelpost.com/airport-wi...rnational.aspx says it's for-pay.

koroleon May 28, 2011 3:09 am

SFO has free wifi for 45 minutes. I think SJC and OAK also have free wifi (and that's what led to SFO's free wifi).

ICN, GMP, PUS, CJU, HKG, & SIN do, and many other asian airports have it as well.

Also, amazingly, MAJ has free wifi too! Just made great use of it a few weeks ago

Free WiFi finder

There is software that will automatically find and log you into free wifi hotelier. I use JIWirevon my laptop and it remembers the hotspot.

SJC airport has free wifi. If you go into the meditation room across from B 19 you can work in peace ad long ad you keep it quiet. I was there an only one person was there.

Ancien Maestro May 28, 2011 11:12 pm

YYC has free wifi.. I think YVR does also..
