Smile Help with Venice Hotels

Looking for good but lower cost hotel in Venice Italy Sept 23-24. any suggestions?
Looking for good hotel near airport to catch an early flight, got any suggestions?

Here is one that I can recommend. I stayed there in 2003. It is very convenient to the main hub for vaporettos and motofocasti as well as the bus terminal.

We stayed at the Hotel Olimpia.

Don't believe the average price on TripAdvisor -- it is NOT that expensive.

dear cw, read the post in the italy section. there does seem to be a recommended place as to not to stay.

most people go from venice to the airport on the morning of their filght.
