$26,000 per night for 2 nights on Richard Branson's Necker Island in the BVI.

But it was a corporate junket and it was the company's money, and 20 people were put up for that price. One books the entire Island for a single party.

$152 and some change all in at Super 8 in Sparks, NV. For some reason availability was tight and I was not at all familiar with other motels that accepted truck parking. Only N/S room they had left was a suite.

$144 and some change at Holiday Inn near BWI due to tight availability and the Fourth of July weekend

$138 and some change at Econo Lodge in Elkhart, IN Elkhart is about 15 miles or 24km east of South Bend, IN. This happened to be a Friday evening and USC was to play Notre Dame the next day in a college football game. It was difficult to get a room that evening anywhere in northern Indiana.

We went to the ND / USC game last year... ended up staying in Hammond, IN which was nice b/c it is relatively convenient both for SBN and CHI.

I had interpreted the post as being 20 people = 20 rooms * 2 nights * $13000 / room / night = $520k

Approximately 140,000 Yen at the Ritz Carlton Tokyo. Amazing view of Mt Fuji. My "executive" suite was not as large or costly as the client's suite which was huge..the "Carlton" suite.

The client didn't even pay for it. These rooms were paid for by the potential partners in a deal. I saw the bill though. 140,000 yen. Not sure how much that is but it seemed like a lot.

No, it was $26K / night for the entire island, NOT $26K times 20 people. You can't book individual rooms at Necker - you only book the whole island, for anywhere from 2 to 30 people.

Still, we booked the Island for 2 days/nights, for $52K total not counting transportation. The whole party was budgeted for $100K.

I can't imagine spending this much money on one night. What do you get for that kind of money?

So what you're saying is that you didn't read the original post...

For me it's a pathetic $850 per night for a 2 night stay

My suite was $19,000/night and I got countless perks!

Of course you also get the 260 sq. ft. suite and every single employee knows you by name.
