Security Bracelets

Has everyone heard about the security bracelets that the FAA is looking at?

You would have to wear them and if you get out of line, they can shock you.

It is still just an idea but I saw it on the news tonight!

Something like this and this came up on a random search.

For your sake, hope your flight crew or the FAMs are a little less trigger happy than the sort of FA mentioned in this FT thread.

Yes, those were exactly what they featured on the news! When the FA tells you to take your seat, best to turn around and double time it before she gets a twitch and you're laying on the floor, drooling all over yourself.

My first thought was, would something like this really serve any purpose other than to aggrivate passengers? Someone truly wanting to do damage will find a way to circumvent such technology OR use it against the crew by shocking all other passengers in a hostage type situation. That sounds fun!

This concept has had attention recently in FlyerTalk's Travel Safety/Security forum in this thread . Accordingly, please feel free to add to the discussion there and I'll close this in TravelBuzz. Ocn Vw 1K, Moderator.
