Who handles re-routing on a code share flight?

Mods, this question relates to Delta/Continental codesharing; posting it here because (a) the question is also one that relates to any codesharing airlines and (b) not sure whether to ask in delta or continental forums.

Scheduled to fly on Continental, but booked through Delta using miles. We have a very tight connection (RIC-CLE-CDG). My question is, who would be responsible for re-routing if we miss the connecting flight to CDG? Do we call Continental? Or the Delta FF number?

I would think the short answer is both. I think you would call Delta who would rebook you on another flight and then you need to go to Continental to get the ticket issued. That was my experience when I mis-connected in FRA and was rebooked on LH as opposed to the orriginal carrier (US). Someone please correct me if I'm wrong though.
