Same flight burnout

Anyone else but me ever get burned out from taking the same flight over and over? I took UA 945 FRA-ORD so many times that now I will take almost any other route to get to the states. It's actually a great flight for my schedule, getting into ORD normally on time and early in the day, upgrading is normally easy, etc. However, mentally I just got tired of it after so many years. Sometimes I'll even combine different airlines just to make it interesting, for example, LH to DFW and AA onward. Only thing I won't do is go through PHL again. Made that mistake experimenting last year on US and got hit with a mass of humanity after exiting customs and immigration. Wow, what a claustrophobic experience.

I've been flying the same routes every two weeks for about five months now. It's been tiresome. So much so, that I even consider connecting through ORD for the excitement.

ATL/JFK to SVO wears me out and has for years. I've slicked it up as of late with and ATL LAX SVO (on SU) and ATL CVG FRA SVO (DL and SU) and ATL CDG to SVO (on AF) and am even doing ATL LAX NRT SIN CAN URC OVB SVO (a bit overboard I know but going there via the West has already intrigued me). This has also allowed me to make top tier status with one airline and just about top with a second there are good things that come from it.

I've been commuting GPT-MEM-MSP on NW for several years now, and yes, it gets old. However, a long enough connection in MEM means Interstate BBQ, so it's got that going for it.

Plus, every now and then an unfavorable airfare comes up for that route and my preferred schedule, so my alternative is usually GPT-IAH-MSP on CO, which changes it up once in a while (and a long enough connection means Pappasitos or Pappadeaux )

Wow, that's a lot of connecting to get from ATL to SVO! Maybe next time I'll try FRA-NRT-LAX FWIW, LAX is my favorite entry point into the USA for international flights. I love making that long walk from the international terminal after flying all day. The weather is usually great and there's always interesting people watching along the way.

Not me. Some years ago I was on the same early morning flight every Monday and the same evening flight almost every Friday. Half the pax onboard the 737 were the same every week and there was very few non-elite pax.

Long haul can be bad - but shorthaul doesn't bother me. If it's only an hour or two of a flight, it doesn't bother me - I've spent longer on trains and buses. When it comes to 7/8/9/10/11+ hours - then it gets bad
