Summer CSA

Hi,

This might not be the appropriate forum to post this but here goes...

I was wondering if anyone here had any insight into gaining seasonal employment as a customser service agent with any airline. From what I've gathered due to the fact that training is so legnthy, airlines don't hire summer-only employees. The closest thing I've found is a NWA program that hires college students to be rampers (but I'm not interested in being a ramp worker.)

If anyone has any insights into gaining a temp CSA position I'd really apreciate it because I'm a college student that would love the opportunity to work for an airline!

Thanks.

I guess such an opportunity does not exist.

Such opportunity could exist but two prime reasons may be behind the lack of replies. First, FlyerTalk is not primarily a job seeking site but a travel loyalty program information and travel discussion site. Second, and even more importantly, the airline industry, as I'm sure you're aware, is in an unprecedented state of upheaval. The Q. is not which airlines might be hiring for the summer but which might still exist through the summer and which of those would have the fewest layoffs of current hires. You might be better off by just contacting carriers directly you would consider but expect a really uphill struggle.

Thanks for the reply.

I have been contacting airlines directly and they said due the duration needed to train someone, they don't hire such short term workers.

Oh well.
