Couple years ago flew from SDF to DTW. Only three people on the entire aircraft...we all got upgraded
It was originally a delayed flight that they were able to put everyone on the next flight out. I was originally on the later flight but asked to "stand-by" on this flight. When we left 3 people on the plane.
They must had needed that plane in DTW.
This was just after the seat belt sign went off.

Aug 21 1986 TUL - DEN a friend and I were IDB from our orignal flight to a Fontier flight later in the evening. No one in First and 3 in the main cabin on a 737. It was a lot of fun until our return flight on Aug 24th, we get to the airport notice a huge crowd, TV camera's, and a big sign at the counter saying something about suspending operations. It took 36 hours to get out of Denver.

Was the lone person in business once from Amsterdam to Thessaloniki.. They plied me with champagne all the way.
No problem I thought, I'm arriving late and will go straight to bed.
When I got to Kavalla I was met by a rep who told me I was on the midnight boat to the rig.
Midnight boat! Never heard of such a thing.
Was an interesting trip.

12 years ago was taking a Delta red eye from LAS>MSY on a 763. I was the only person in first class. Felt kinda strange being the only person up front...

On a couple of off-peak BOS-LGA Delta Shuttle flights, where you'll sometimes find fewer than 20 passengers on the entire plane, I've been the lone F passenger.

I believe it was 1997 or 98, and I was on a 757 flight from SFO to MSP, and there was just myself plus one other in first. There were 4 people in coach. The pilot announced "welcome to your semi-private jet service" and told everyone in coach to move up to first. It was a great flight, although I'm sure NWA lost a buttload of money on that flight.

Been the only passenger in first class/business class cabin at least three times that I can remember. All three of these flights had one premium cabin (marketed as either first class or business class) and economy.
Royal Jordanian from AMM - TLV on a regional jet.
Druk Air from KTM - PBH on an A319, and
Malev from BUD - KBP on an 737.
Also had a flight on UA from JFK to GIG on a 747 where there were only 6 passengers on the entire plane and a CX flight from YYZ - HKG on an A340 with less than 10 passengers on the plane during SARS. Was in economy on both these flights, obviously all passengers had plenty of seats to choose from.

I was one of two in the UD of a LH 747 last year But domestically the emptiest 1st class cabin I've sat in was a late night (ended up being early morning) EWR-MSY flight with only 4/16 and only a dozen or so people in Y. Kinda nice having the whole row to myself.

It happened only once for me on a TATL flight in LH F. I was the only passenger in F. I slept through most of the flight in a very quiet cabin.
