If you're going by yourself, you need to go somewhere that has a festival to partake. How about Austin Texas for the annual South by Southwest Music Festival, starting Wed. Mar. 12 and going to Sun. the 16th? The festival has over 1500 performers from around the world. While I always wanted to go, I haven't made it yet so I can't offer any personal info but it looks amazing. And, the weather isn't too bad compared to IND, forecast to be sunny and in the 70s.

Anyone know of a good directory/listing/way of finding festivals around the country/world? I looked on Hemispheres Magazine (what a freaking geek I am) but their calendar is a bit bare for next weekend. www.festivals.com listed a Menudos festival in LA and a Guacamole festival somewhere random. Not quite my cup-o-tea (and obviously not a great directory, since it did not list SXSW).

This seems more TravelBuzz-esque than MilesBuzz-ish, since it really isn't the latest loyalty program buzz. I'll move it over there now.

Here's the site I used to find festivals for March:
http://www.2camels.com/festivals/march.php
I was also thinking of a tropical paradise but I was going to suggest Mayan Rivera or Belize since they're actually part of the NA continent.

That's easy. The RC Kapalua for a great weekend of golf and some poolside snoozing and people watching.

So the themes are:
1. Festivals
2. Sun/pool/snooze
3. "Adult"
@kkjay77: Miles are always a consideration, but buying 4 days in advance and being out of CR-1s would make for an expensive, unplesant trip.
