Hidden Cities Ticketing
Im sure this has been discussed numerous times, Im just wondering how CO in particular has been enforcing their rules recently and the risks involved in doing a hidden city.
For example: aaa to bbb = $500, aaa to ccc with a stopover in bbb=$100.
I want to purchase the $100 ticket and get off in "bbb".
I normally wouldnt give it much thought but I have a 1 way from bbb-FLL(home) the following day and I feel they can put the two together.

It's obviously against the rules as you are aware.
There's a few tricks but if you have status and use your FF#, it's a lot easier to get caught.
However, miss one segment of an itin and don't expect to get back on plane at the BBB city or anywhere w/o a really fantastic explaination.

The airlines are indeed on top of this issue. For example, the article on Airlines Curbing Passengers Who Skirt Rules to Cut Fare in today's NY Times may be helpful to you.

It has also been possible to take advantage of differences in international fares. For example, New York travelers headed for London could buy a ticket from Montreal to London and then simply board the plane when it stopped in New York. The saving comes in cases where fares are lower between Canada and Britain, under agreements negotiated between the two nations, than between the United States and Britain.

The airlines, however, contend that the practice violates the contract that passengers enter into when buying a ticket, which states that they will fly to the specified destination.
Wonder how quickly they change their tune when for some reason the aeroplane cannot continue and the air line wants to delay the pax for an indefinite time?

(I glanced at the top of the NY Times page which displayed the current date... needless to say, I missed the actual story's dateline.) Does this mean I'm finished in this forum???
