Affinity luggage tags/identification?
Aside from my yellow FT tags, I have blue/yellow Lindblad Expedition ribbons on my luggage.
Both have allowed me to connect with like-minded travelers.
Do you carry affinity identifiers when you travel?

I wasn't trying to start on luggage tags in general.
I was specifically interested if many people carried distinctive tags to identify themselves to other members of a group.
College tags, cruise line tags, that sort of thing.

I have an old LV carry-on which my parents used to use. It's at least 50 years old. They collected tags from many of their trips, and I have added to them. This one bag has over 200 tags, from all 7 continents. Not only is it a wonderful conversation starter, but flipping thru them brings back wonderful memories.

I got some of the flyertalk tags and I have to say that, while I appreciated the low cost, I thought they looked really amateurish -- like they'd been laminated down at the local Kinkos. Sorry to be critical, but I think a hard plastic yellow tag in the rounded shape of the flyertalk logo would be much more impressive. I'd be willing to spend more for something like that.

I have various airline tags, United carry-on "green" tags, and hotel tags from Whistler to Hong Kong to Maui.
