Hotel two reservations using weekend and weekday rates
I noticed if I stay from Saturday to Wednesday my rate is the weekday rate for all 4 nights. Is it acceptable to reserve a two night stay Saturday-Monday to get the weekend rate and then another Monday-Wednesday reservation at the weekday rate? Do hotels allow this or do they frown on it?

Might depend on the chain and/or the property, but I've never had a problem with multiple consecutive reservations at different rates. I've never even had to vacate the room - just told the front desk I had another reservation, settled up the paperwork, and stayed right thru.
BTW, if you're deeing these rates online, it might be worth a phone call. A human agent may be able to combine the separate rates into a single reservation with a rate change, saving you the hassle & the worry.

Thanks, I took your advice and called and they booked the four nights with the two cheaper weekend nights and the two higher weekday nights. Nice to get the price break and have no worries at check in.

I've made consecutive reservations and connected them in the past, with no issues. Actually, I've had luck with them getting counted as separate stays, as well, even though that that was not the reason in making the separate reservations (a few times, due to cheaper rates, but also because I've suddenly had to extend a stay).
