Will I see airline tix price LAX-MEX decrease after Thanksgiving?

I was pricing flights to for an LAX-MEX trip in Feb 2008 last week Friday. Due to some unknowns in my work schedule, I couldn't buy them until yesterday. By then the prices jumped another $100 per ticket.

I know prices fluctuate for gosh knows why, but can I expect them to drop (even slightly) after the Turkey Day madness?

Considering the popularity of Mexico as a winter destination and the price of fuel, I'd doubt that tkt. prices would fall unless demand is unusually soft. There could be isolated specials for a short window.
