who has the best./worst first class?
i think best is japan airlines and united, worst not sure
For International Long Haul:
UA 767 F must be the worst among American Carriers.
New SQ Suites Class must be the best, but as SQ claims Singapore Airlines Suites Class a class beyond first, I'm not sure if it qualifies. Among regular F, I like NH F. I've also heard that EK F suite is quite nice too.

Best South African Airlines
Worst Airtran I would not even call it first class

First of all, somebody has to decide if you call it a First Class if an airline just has just two service classes. I would consider their First Class as Business Class.

HTB.
CX F from JFK-HKG nonstop is probably the best first class product in the air right now (Keep in mind I have not flown SQ since 2000)
The worst? It's hard to say. With a lot of international routes being 2 class now, there could a be a bundle of choices. I flew MU first once and that was pretty lame, like an business class seat with economy service.

SQ is far above anything else I've experienced, not just in the hard product, but in the consummate professionalism of the crew.
I know that US domestic is a different product altogether, but the experience I had in an AA 757 sullies the good name of "First Class".

Airtran doesn't call it first class, they call it "business class," so it's not supposed to be as good as other airlines' first class. But basically the only difference from other airlines' first class is the lack of hot food. For the price, it is a very good value for money.Originally Posted by nyc123zoe55

My vote for worst domestic first class goes to Delta. I flew Orlando-JFK, 2.5 hours in the early morning and no meal. Just junk food snacks from a basket and drinks served in plastic cups.
