Something only an FT'er would pick up on!
Not sure if this is the right place for this, but I saw something today that made me laugh.
Earlier today I was being subjected to one of those wedding shows on cable ("Whose Wedding is it Anyways" I think) by my fiance. They were talking about a set of relatives who had not arrived on time in Argentina for the destination wedding and they cut to some stock footage of an airplane flying. I was only half watching and thought I saw a double deck, but not a 747. I hit rewind on the DVR and sure enough, the stock footage was of an A380 (no airline specific livery on it). I don't think anyone but FT'ers would ever pick up on it. After explaining to my fiance why I was laughing and why I insisted on rewinding she just shook her head.

In the Billy Crystal movie (can't remember the name right now), with Jack Palance, and Norman the cow, he landed in New York. Next scene you see him driving over the 59th Street bridge.
Only problem was that they got picked up outside TBIT (Tom Bradley Intl Term) at LAX.

They did a similar thing in the movie "Goodfellas" as well, supposedly the early 60's and they show a 747 landing in Swissair livery.
So not only were they not even in the air at that time, Swiss didn't take delivery until 1983

I believe in Very brady sequel... shows footage of a Hawaiian 717, but when the shot goes inside the plane, it's a widebody with 2+4+2 across

Now I have forgotten which show, but some tv program I watched recently had someone flying from Los Angeles to San Francisco. The plane shown in flight was Korean Air. It must have been a cable show, because I also watched a repeat just to make sure I was right and not just seeing things.

Was watching a Seinfeld rerun recently about the traveling couple who had to be split between F and Y because F had only one seat left. Seinfeld took the F seat and just before boarding, the show panned to an outside shot of the a/c in question: a WN B737!!!!

Some bad ones...
1) The whole movie 'Red Eye'. The only saving grace was Rachel McAdams delicious looks!
2) 'Snakes on a Plane' - utter tripe and the aircraft scenes were so riddled with errors. 747 upper deck was like a widebody with a staircase at the front and back! There were scenes of an ATC scope in full colour with the planes travelling near LA at about 3000mph!
3) 'Catch Me If You Can' - when Frank Abagnale is flying back from France with the Tom Hanks character it shows an Airbus of some kind landing...despite the fact the film is set in the 1960s and it showed a 707 (IIRC) in other shots. Also they were landing on runway 44 at La Guardia (?)
4) 'The Holiday' - Cameron Diaz's character flies on a BA 777 from LAX-LHR...BA have only ever flown the 747 on the route.
