How do I search with a layover?

How do I search for flights from DFW to Athens with a layover in Paris on the way home? We plan on traveling next June for about 10 days. Dates are flexible.

Multi-city search on Orbitz would be a good start.

I used a bit of searching on itasoftware. It took a few days of looking at fare rules. I wanted to stop in NRT on the way back from BKK, and I discovered some cheap flights returning on a Monday or a Tuesday. The fare rule said, "stopover permitted" for a small fee. I put in a multicity with the NRT stop using those days, and the cheap fare I had been looking for appeared ($1300)!

Even better, it appeared on Travelocity. I got to the credit card info screen, but instead I took the chance something even more perfect would appear the next day. It never did. Lesson - if you find what you want, pull the trigger right away.

Instead, now I'm going to try premium economy JFK-BKK on TG.
