Dtw

I grew up in Detroit. For the last 4 years I've been in AZ, and for the last 10 years have not been flying NW. I'm taking my first NW flight today in 10 years (one way dtw-cak) and all I can say is WOW about this airport! Flying into Smith terminal for the last 10 years and now I'm in this beautiful airport. It is very clean and modern and has everything a business traveler would need (well, free wifi would be nice). This is one of the nicest, if not the best, US airport I've been in (CLT is up there too). Good job Wayne Cnty

No disagreement from me. It's about as perfect as a big airport can be.

Unless you're coming in on AA like I do.
For the last few years, that terminal ranks at the top of list worst US airports.

I was really impressed with that airport alright, albeit the walk from 1st security to C36 took quite a while, despite moving walkways. It was so cool to see AF, BA, and and LH bird among the red and gray. I wait with baited breath to see what the new terminal will be like next year when I fly US back to DTW.

I've been flying UA into DTW for about 10 years . It is the worst hole in the wall for an airport I've ever been to. The bathrooms are disgusting, it's a shame they couldn't have moved everything to the old NW terminal before they just tore it down after NW moved to the new trerminal.

The McNamara terminal has probably the best variety and selection of restaurants than any airport in the Midwest. Not to mention DTW does not appear to be flooded with delays like ORD, the security lines move relatively quickly

As I remember, the old NW terminal was h3ll too. At least soon, the non-ST airlines will be getting their own new terminal too! ^
