Website with the lowest flight booking fee?
I am going to book quite a few flights for a big party and Expedia's $5 booking fee adds up to several hundreds. (The fare is not available directly from the airline.)
Is there a website with a smaller fee? I remember lastminutetravel.com charged no fee but now they just quietly add their $5 to the ticket price. Or at least a site with per-booking not per-person fee?

How can Expedia have the fare but the airline doesn't? That doesn't make much sense to me.
Perhaps consider a local travel agent. They'd love to get the chunk of business and perhaps you can negotiate a ticketing fee that is good for you both.

Call the airline. Tell them right away you want to book a large number of seats. They might offer you a good group deal.

Yes, there are sites that have done away with the $5 booking fee (at least temporarily). I just wrote something about this http://www.elliott.org/archives/2007...ooking_fee.php

Thanks for the info celliott! Priceline requires departure airport to be within US (not true for some of our flights) and TripSync was a pain to get running but I managed to.
aktchi - the group is too small for group rates, just 4-6 people taking many flights during this summer.

I see. When you wrote "Expedia's $5 booking fee adds up to several hundreds" I had visions of 50-100 people! Anyway, can a person's various flights be put on one multi-city ticket? Otherwise, you are still buying a large number of tickets and no harm in calling to check if that entitles you to any discount.

The fares were already heavily discounted, in no way they would have given me more reductions. Anyway I just booked through tripsync.com. Thanks again celliott!
