Prude on a Plane

I had a new experience on a flight last pm from SLC-LAX.

We started watching the Delta Horizons video as per routine. The first show was "30 Rock". As that show was nearing the end, the flight attendents broke in and said they must stop the video and start another as someone found the show objectionable. And another video was started, leaving those of us watching the show to wonder how it ended.

Is this typical of Delta - one objection means the rest of us can't watch it? I mean its on Primetime on NBC. Maybe the AVOD will avoid this in the future. I personally think they should've just asked the person to not listen to the show until it is over in another 5 minutes.

Any thoughts?

The taliban are everywhere. They just subscribe to different religions and give themselves different labels.

Those aren't "religions" they "subscribe" to - they're CULTS! To equate them to religions sullies the good name of real religions!

You've gotta be joking. Does anyone know if it's an official DL policy to stop entertainment that is found to be objectionable? Hell, I'll remember that next time some crappy movie or DL Horizons video comes on that does not interest me.

If one person found the show objectionable, why did they continue watching the show??? Instead, he/she could have read a book, taken a nap, or brought their own entertainment (DVD, Ipod, PSP,....). Why penalize the rest of the passengers? I would be furious if this happened on my flight!

Unbelieveable and shameful that the FA humored this person. Seems this passenger is probably one that goes around with a sense of entitlement and the FA just supported it.

What about the rest of the passengers. The FA should have just said it's been approved by headquarters for public viewing, so just ignore it if it does not interest you. UGH, hate these selfish people.

Hey, that's my line :)

I also cannot believe the FAs indulged this customer - all the person had to do was simply stop watching the video...what about the other 100+ people?

If this person was in a movie theater, and found the movie objectionable, would they insist the theater manager play something else or just get up and leave? Sheesh.
