Bingo!!!

That's the answer. They found Baldwin offensive because of the way he talks to his daughter on the phone. :)

I find prudery offensive. I am offended at it being turned off, turn it back on!

Oh, Good Heavens. The PA dialogue was pretty out of line, but to turn off the video for one person out of over a hundred people was ridiculous.

I actually think the FA did the right thing. A plane is a public forum, and like it or not, we have to watch out for everyone's sensibilities. If you were that upset, you should go home and just find out the ending on the internet. Let's face it, no one was really hurt by the fact that the show was ended, and Delta got to make a passenger happy.

Actually, I don't believe any of that, but the incongruity of seeing a thread on FT in which agreed was getting my OCD agitated. I feel much better now.

I hope you're not serious. On a plane with 200 or 300 people you'll always find someone who finds something about any program running offensive. That's his problem, not the problem of the other 199 or 299 persons. It's a public place and everyone will have to deal with things he might not find ideal.

I think you skipped the second paragraph in my note. ;)

I've seen one or two other threads on FT where over 100 posters all agreed on something. It's quite distressing.

I think that the FA should have stopped it like she did however should have mentioned the seat number of the person who requested it.

HBO on Delta...

Ha! Wait till they get on the ex-Song planes and discover the HBO channel on DL - episodes of "Rome", "Sex And The City", etc., all completely uncensored; one of the "Rome" episodes I saw on the plane featured the full-on graphic violence and nudity. To be fair though, these programs are all preceded by a Warning that the "following program contains material unsuitable for children...do you still want to continue?" after you press play....

Delta is in Georgia

You could try the old Jimmy Carter trick: "Excuse me Ms. FA, but that blond stew in the safety video is one hot little number. I find myself lusting after her in my heart right now. Please turn off that safety video before I have any more impure thoughts and mentally break my marriage vows." :D

There is a reason the Bill of Rights does not have Amendment Number Eleven: The Right to Not be Offended. . .

I find that disgusting. I want you to email me the names of the individual episodes, as well as the actresses who get naked and the exact time of the nudity so that I can, um, protest.

Perhaps Kim Basinger was on the flight.

Pretty certain

NO airline will present for public consumption inflight ANY "entertainment" that mailgns or spoofs or presents in anything other than the most glowing of colors any aspect of the airline industry.:D That said, I've seen some rather scary, violent and morality-challenging images (UNRELATED to air carriers) presented on cabin screens where (even) impressionable, young children could see them. THAT seems rather insensitive of the airline (UA in this case) and the sort of thing I would expect parents to object to, and request stopped. NOTE: I'm talking about readily visible images on a cabin screen intended for viewing from all seats.
But I have to admit, the video fare on UA--whether in PS or biz or transpac first-- NEVER holds my attention, and THAT is attributable at least as much to what H'wood sells as to what UA chooses to offer inflight.

I flew on Virgin Atlantic two weeks ago and one of the movie options was "Jackass Part Two." It was uncensored....curse words, bare female tits, frontal male nudity, guys jerking off a horse..... I felt my IQ go down as I watched. I'd be shocked if it were ever shown on a US carrier, but more to the point, if you ever REALLY want to make "30 Rock" seem completely harmless.....!!!!
