I asked for a full can of Coke !!!

I committed the sin of the century. I asked for a full can of Coke rather than just a glassful. The look on the FA's face was one of shock and outrage. She then informed me I could not have an entire can to myself. Yes, she did.

Oh, how I regret my greedy request.

I had that happen a few years ago on an Aeroflot flight. Asked for a full can. The stare that I received instead drilled through my skin, bone marrow, sole (both mine and that of my ancestors) and emerged out of my back.

I did however get the can. But by that time, I felt like I needed a hug more than anything else.

Point out the nutrition label. Servings per container: 1

Next time ask for two (2) glasses.

May want to be careful about using the nutrition label, some sodas are 1.5 servings per can with the serving size of 8 oz (to keep the low or no whatever claims legit, they use smaller servings) :D

I had a delta agent treat me like a two year old once when I asked for the can, she said, "Well, why don't we just leave this cup with you and if you finish that we can refill it for you later, how's that?"

I usually say something like "to save you the trouble of having to come back to refill it." Never a hassle. Maybe they would have all given it to me anyhow, or maybe they see the light.

At which point I would have drained the cup right there, and said - "OK, I'm ready for that refill!"

Not that I drink Coke, but I've had this situation with water before. Used to just bring my own 1-litre bottle of water aboard (and I drink the whole thing, and look for more during a transatlantic flight) but they won't let us do that anymore :(

I asked for the can on a flight and the FA replied "we don't give out the cans, it's a single beverage service"... uhhh, it's a 3.5 hour flight.

Then on CO I didn't even ask and was given the can, and then a refill. Kind of struck me as odd. It was like the FA was bored and just went around refilling people's drinks, even if they didn't want it.

OTA - Oliver Twist Airlines! :p

Jetblue, always a full can without asking.^
Cathay Pacific, FA always pours from the 1.5 Liter bottle in Y:td:

The nerve of you people. If every passenger demanded a full can, the airline would lose revenue with the extra weight and logistics of stocking all those cans.

Full cans should be reserved for elite passengers only, like me.

:D :D

Full can + over 2 hr flight = trip to the loo. Have you BEEN in there lately. Ugh. Avoid at all costs.

I was on a very short UAL flight (ORD-DET) a few years back and I asked for a cup of coffee and a bottle of water (they had those little 8 oz bottles). The flight attendant explained to me that because it was such a short flight, they were only giving out one drink per passenger. I didn't, but should have, told him that in the length of time he took to explain that, he could have just handed me the damn bottle of water.
