What is the loudest airplane you have been on to?

Got to agree with the C130. Baking hot on the ground, frezing (and raining inside) in the air, so noisy that even a pair of earplugs and and a headset still didn't drown out the noise.

B-17. We were seated for takeoff on the floor close to where the radio operator would have been. Once in the air, we had access to the entire plane except the ball turret, and of course the tail gun position since it was accessible only from the outside. It was pretty weird to look through the gaps between the panels in the floor and see the daylight outside.
It was exhilarating, but at the same time pretty sobering to think about what it would have been like to be on that plane knowing your mission, or returning and hoping you were actually going to be able to land.

But what a rush on takeoff!
The noise of the afterburners was incredible .. and when they are switched off post-takeoff (the Captain did warn about the sound decrease for noise abatement on takeoff) you think they had lost both engines!
I really miss Speedbird ..
I read in another thread that BA was breaking the lease at LHR where the Concorde model has lived all these years (the Concorde Round-a-bout). Supposedly Emirates will be putting an A380 model there. Oh how times have changed!

Is this the plane that fly from PDX and SEA. Row 9 all the way in the back lots of leg room. Definitely noisy.

Probably a C-47 (military version of DC-3) rigged for paratroops. Webbing across the door opening doesn't do much to keep engine sound out of the "passenger" area.
