Internship at Mesa Airlines

Hello FTers,

I will be doing an internship with Mesa Airlines this spring...

Should I work with Messy in IAD (UX) or with Messy jr. in PHX(USX)

Location doesn't matter to me but I will be working in Crew Resources.

The fact that you can choose which city to intern in is great. If you are from the DC area, why not try PHX.

Go for PHX, maybe you can get a chance to visit the crystal palace and see one of the CEOs tirades live in person.

Personally, since you have the opportunity, seeing new places is a good thing in my book. It not only helps to build character, but makes for another check on your resume that you're willing to try new things.

Rest assured, PHX will be the hottest place you will ever experience in the summer.

If you're from Houston or New Orleans, it will feel comfy compared to PHX.

If that's the case, don't go to PHX.

Living here in Phoenix, I can't stand those humid, wet summers of Houston/Florida/etc. I'd take the 108 we get here always.

Since it looks like you already live in the Washington area, I'd say give PHX a try. Change of pace and a good starting location to see some of the west coast for short getaways. And you'll get used to the heat quickly enough. Then again, IAD is probably easier for you since you're already there.

Will you get full dead-heading privs? If so, I'd say definately PHX. Not sure about USX's routes, but I bet you can get to Vegas, LA and San Diego? All wonderful towns to visit during the summer.

UAX from IAD, on the other hand... who wants to go to NYC anyway?

yeah if you're outside it's not TOO bad, but it still feels like i've stuck my head in an oven. I lived in Glendale.. so I've gotten a couple good summers of PHX under my belt.

I'd try PHX in the spring it's from Feb and it's pretty pleasant right now.

If you can deal with the heat from late April until mid-Sept, the rest of the year is great and makes most of the country (in a normal weather year) envious. Since OP is looking at Feb-June, that certainly works in PHX favor. Nothing like San Diego, though. Now there's a place with perfect weather year-round (and luckily, only an hour flight from PHX).
