Miles from A to B

I couldn't figure out how to phrase this for a search so please don't beat me up for being lazy or stoopid, just unimaginative.

Is there a good place to find the std. number of airmiles between any 2 destinations? I've tried airline sites, but have to practically book a flight before I get the data I want.

I use http://gc.kls2.com as an approximation of the distances.

Note there is no standard number. Each FFP will have its own calculation. That said the above tools should be accurate enough for most purposes.

Thanks to you all. A close approximation is all I need as I'm plotting MRs and don't plan to cut it that close. Both tools are within 5 miles of DL's calculations.

Please find a couple more calculators below. They vary slightly, for example:

From Helsinki (HEL) to Shanghai (PVG):
4604 miles http://gc.kls2.com/
4604 miles http://www.milemaven.com/
4570 miles http://www.webflyer.com/travel/milemarker/
4580 miles http://www.mapcrow.info/cgi-bin/citi...city2=&cntry2=

However, for the above flight Iberia (oneworld) only gave me 80 points (between 3001 to 4500 miles). Is there objective any way to complain?

In addition to the above sites, ITA software will provide distances if you look at flight pricing/availability and click on details.

Call their FF program desk and ask them how many miles it is from HEL-PVG. If they give you an answer of more than 4500 miles, then ask why you weren't credited the full points for that. If they answer less than 4500, then there will be little you can do--you can ask why they credit too few miles, but it's their discretion to set the miles value.
