FLYING THIS HOLIDAY SEASON?
SAY GOODBYE TO CRAMPED COACH SEATS-- AND HELLO TO LUXURY!
AND THE BEST NEWS-- IT WON'T COST YOU AN ARM AND A LEG!
FOX'S KATRINA CRAVY SHOWS YOU HOW TO FLY FIRST CLASS FOR LESS!
<
(take pkg)
<
(anchor tag)
NOW THIS DOESN'T MEAN YOU'LL FLY FIRST CLASS FOR CHEAPER THAN COACH.
YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY-- JUST NOT AS MUCH.

BOB SYTSMA/ TRAVELER
ANDREA/ TRAVEL AGENT
RICK SEANEY/ CEO OF FARE COMPARE DOT COM.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IF IT SEEMS THE GLAMOUR DAYS OF FLYING ARE LONG GONE-- THINK AGAIN!
YOU CAN ENJOY THE PERKS OF FIRST CLASS-- AND FOR CHEAPER THAN YOU'D EXPECT.
JUST ASK TRAVELERS LIKE BOB SYTSMA.
"If I'm traveling cross country, there is work to do. It affords you more room."
BOB LOGS MORE THAN 100-THOUSAND MILES A YEAR--
THE MAJORITY IN A FIRST CLASS SEAT.
BUT HIS COMPANY DOESN'T PAY FULL PRICE.
"What we look for in the fares are these non-refundable first class fares, which many times aren't much more expensive than a coach fair."
BOB AND HIS TRAVEL AGENT SEARCH FOR THESE CHEAPER LUXURY SEATS...
MOST ARE AVAILABLE UP TO 7 DAYS BEFORE YOUR TRIP.
YOU CAN'T GET A REFUND OR CHANGE YOUR PLANS...
BUT THERE'S A HUGE PERK--
THE PRICE!
"It's going to save you possibly 50-percent, and you will still be in first class."
TAKE THIS TRIP-- MILWAUKEE TO SEATTLE.
FULL FARE FIRST CLASS COSTS A WHOPPING 26-HUNDRED BUCKS.
A NON-REFUNDABLE FIRST CLASS TICKET IS 920-DOLLARS.
SAME SEAT, DIFFERENT FARE AND A SAVINGS OF 17-HUNDRED BUCKS.
ANOTHER OPTION: SEARCH FOR CHEAPER FIRST CLASS SEATS, BY SIMPLY LOGGING ONTO THE WEB.
"You have to know what you are doing, but if you do know what you're doing you will get a great seat and at a great price."
HOW, YOU ASK?
SHOP FOR Y-UP, Q-UP AND Z--FARES.
RICK SEANEY IS C-E-O OF FARE COMPARE DOT COM.
"I've literally got hundreds of stories of people that got to fly first class for the first time in their life because they learned about y-ups."
YOU CAN SPOT THESE FARES BY LOOKING FOR THESE CODES.
IT MIGHT LOOK LIKE...
"Soup in bowl."
ALPHABET SOUP...
BUT THESE LETTERS TYPICALLY SPELL OUT CHEAPER FIRST CLASS SEATS.
"Y-up fares are the industry's best kept secret."
"There are a lot of them out there that are in that anywhere from 400-600 range."
TAKE MILWAUKEE TO ATALNTA.
A LAST MINUTE COACH SEAT WILL COST 458 BUCKS.
FOR 120 MORE, YOU CAN Y-UP AND FLY FIRST CLASS.
OR TRAVEL TO THE MAGIC KINGDOM...
COACH COSTS OVER 5-HUNDRED.
Y-UP AND SIT IN FIRST CLASS FOR AND EXTRA 150-DOLLARS.
"That's what catches my interest. If it's in that category, I will look at buying a ticket like that. If it starts getting more than that, and it is a short flight, it's not worth the money."
ALL AN INVESTMENT IN COMFORT, NOT JUST RESERVED FOR JET-SET ELITE.
MUSIC: Come fly with me.

FareCompare

Rick sure is getting a lot of attention these days. I guess I'm glad that 90% of people who watch this segment will still not understand how to get the low prices.

There is some merit to this if you don't have status. FC has a tab for comparing the -UP fares to full coach prices. As the site mentions, these were developed by the airlines so that customers could comply with corporate rules of flying coach. And these codes fall under coach.
