Cool Get rid of the cellphone jerks.

I can't stand this pic. It reminds me of all those "I'm so important idiots you see in the airport lounges".

Wow! What a burst of hostility towards a communications device. Cell phones don't bother me. I don't know what's wrong with that picture. They'd probably be better off just chatting to one another instead of calling.

This isn't the first time someone commented on one of Hilton's banner graphics. I vaguely remember a couple years ago there was a weird image of half a guy in a suit. I don't even know how to begin searching for it. Maybe one of the Hilton forum residents will remember this or, for some strange reason, have a link.

I think it is better than people wearing the bluetooth headsets. I wear one myself but only when I need to make a lengthy call. I have yet to see someone who has one on actually receive a phone call.

The bad things about those headsets is that it's hard to tell who's on the phone and how is just talking to their imaginary friend!

Isn't it strange how some people are so anti-cellphones (that's mobile phones in English). The whole in-flight airline cellphone debate is fascinating: "people don't want to sit next to someone who's talking into their cellphone" ... I wonder if they'd mind if their neighbours were speaking to each other ?

Because people talk extra loud on cellular phones, and usually with horrible grammar. Besides 99.9999% of the conversations are worthless banter. So excuse me for not wanting to hear about cheating boy/girlfriends spoken out loud.

My favorite is the first time I saw someone talking apparently to her self with her hands walking down the street.

Only reason I dont like the banner here is it looks bad. I agree with the "they should chatting to each other" idea.

At least hte guys in the pic are outdoors.

My favorites are the ones who (1) Ignore the FA's when they are closing the jet door and (2) get on elevators and keep talking. I usually raise my voice to talk over them until their call is inevitably dropped.

You really ought to just get used to it.

I think you are missing the point about the in-flight cell phone objections. If I'm on the ground somewhere, I can move away from the obnoxious person. Stuck in the air, 18 inches from their yapping, I would have no option to move away to get away from their incessant cell phone conversation. And whoever noted that 99% of the cell phone conversations seem like useless banter was right. I have a cell phone. I use it when I need to. I move out to a hallway, or outside a restaurant, or somewhere so as not to bother people. I don't yell into it when 18 inches away from other people's hearing.

Yes, I do oppose using cell phones on airplanes while in flight. Blackberries? Now that's a great idea.

I would have to agree that I don't like it when people talk on their cell phones at inappropriate times (during flights, in theatres, etc.) and, yes, it is usually because they are usually way too loud.

I wouldn't say that their conversation is worthless banter, though. The content of the conversations is probably important to them.
