Need help CNS-LHR
Hi guys
Up to here with decoding the options - any thoughts gratefully received:
I need to get from CNS (Cairns, Oz) to LHR London for the 6th August. Routing and return date is flexible; any time between 10th and 15th or later.
I'm happy to have an HKG two-day stopover on the way back; a substitute SIN stopover is OK if I go that way. Aywhere else would just be transit.
I'm looking for a flat bed on the night segments, leading me to look at Business in BA.
I have 70,000 OneWorld points with CX; enough to make an upgrade of some sort.
BA have a Premium Economy one-way, Biz the other offer SYD-LHR at US$3,400, but getting to SYD cheaply is tricky.
BA also have a cheap offer HKG-LHR Business at US$3,750; looks as though it has to be via one of a number of other cities (SIN, BKK, China et al) - doesn't seem to show up in bookings.
It would be nice to go the same class throughout, for luggage alone, and anything over eight hours in a plane is hard work, these days.
Vigin looks expensive; Quantas, Cathay ditto, a DONE4 doesn't seem to work; the Virgin/SA RTW isn't cheap.
Any thoughts, suggestions at approaches?
Thanks

Thanks - sorry about the mispost.
Looks as though my options are limited anyway - I have a hold on the following until Monday:
CNS-SIN-LHR QF 155 QF31 6 August
LHR-HKG (long pause) -CNS on 23rd Aug and 30th respectively - only currently open flights.
All in Business, 120k miles. According to their site, both outbound QFs are Skybed. I'll try to waitlist earlier flights out of LHR and HKG - does anyone have any waitlisting tips?
CX have introduced a rather nasty charge for transferring miles (or at least it's the first I've heard of it) US$100 for the first 10k, then $50 per block og 5k. So transferring 50k miles from my partners account would cost US$500. Ouch.
