Orbitz VS site

i hope this is the right place to ask this and if not exusce me. i am planning to buy a ticket on BA from nyc-tlv. The price diffrence between Orbitz and BA.com is a difference of $30, giving orbitz the cheaper one. Is it better to buy from the airline (BA.com) or orbitz? if i buy from orbitz i then need to buy insurance, while BA i dont think i need special insurance. thanks

Does BA give any FF bonus for purchasing on their site? (I know other airlines usually give 500-1000 bonus.) How much is the insurance?

If the combined difference amounts to the same, it's your choice.

Personally, I check sites like Orbitz to compare the prices of many airlines, but then go to the airline's site for the bonus miles.

Have ya tried expedia.com travelocity.com?? Then i suggest ya try it out.. The other thing about 30$ is that is it worth paying more 30$ or not? I always suggest you buy it from BA.com cause the Check-In desk will see you that you bought ticekts thru orbitz.com and would say in her mind or his that you are one of thoose maniacs of trying to fly for less possible.. and give u worse service..

PS: I dont know what im talking about so im going to sleep now.. Farewell from Spain! ^

why do you need to buy insurance if you buy from Orbitz, but not if you buy from BA? In fact, what kind of insurance are you talking about?

Orbitz is extremely reliable, and probably more likely to help you out of ajam related to the ticket than BA will be.
