6 hours to kill at LHR
I have about 6 hours to kill at LHR in a couple of weeks. Just looking for suggestions on way to kill this time. Is it worth trying to see London or am I better off just hanging out at one of the OneWorld lounges. If my option is to just stay at LHR which lounge should I hang out in?
Thanks

Is it six hours from arrival of first flight to departure of second flight, or six hours from arrival of first flight to when you have to be at the gate for the second flight? Also, where are you coming in from, where are you departing to, and is your baggage going to be checked through? This could all make quite a difference.

grab a cab and tell them to take you to Greenman lane, to the Greenman Pub, in Hatton Cross. Its right near the BA hangars.
meet the locals, nice place to spend a few hours. and they serve breakfast and lunch there, possibly dinner too.

This information is dated, but 6 years ago I had a 6 hour layover, and I cleared immigration and customs and took the Piccadilly line to Piccadilly Circus. It was between 7am and 8am on a weekday and things were kind of slow. I walked around Soho for half an hour and then jumped back on the Tube to the Knightsbridge area. I then tried to go to Harrods about 9am, but they didn't open until 10am at the time. I was back at LHR by 10:30, with plenty of time to spare before my 12:30 flight.
