Nine hours to kill at MEX
I get in at 5 AM, and fly out at 2. Any suggestions for a place to sleep? Should I try to venture in to the city? (When I pass back through I am going to spend a couple days there). Any ideas appreciated.

I believe you can take the subway from the airport (Yellow Line) to Pantitlan, (two stops away) where you'll change to the Pink Line to Chapultepec Park. Once there, enjoy the 1600 acre park and go visit the National Museum of Anthropology and the Chapultepec Palace.
Mexico City's subway is one of the best I have ridden on and if you can beat the morning rush hour on the way into the city, you should have an enjoyable and quick transport to Chapultepec.

I was just wanting to know what your ideas were about safety of travelling around Mexico City. I have been here all week and have felt very safe. However, anytime I wanted to go outside of my customers plant to smoke they insisted that one of them went with me because they were wooried about my safety.

Just got back from MEX and felt reasonably safe. The subway is great. Costs about 20 cents US a for a one way ride of any distance. When you exit security at MEX walk down to Exit 1 and follow the sidewalk to the subway. It's not hard to find. If you need directions, just ask someone official looking for the "metro."
Ride it to somewhere down town and hang out for a few hours. Keep track of where you are. The stations have maps that are easy to understand but there isn't any indication when you are on the subway of where you are at. Count your stops and you'll be fine.

Is the Yellow Line the only one to leave the airport?
I thought you could board the Pink Line from the airport.
I only need to get to the Zona Rosa area, and I thought I could do it with no Line changes. Am I wrong?
