Etihad

I was just looking at their site and saw that they bill themselves as the national airline of the UAE. So how can they claim that? I don't know much about the UAE other than it is comprised or various emirates - eg Dubai. But other emirates such as Dubai have airlines too - EK. So why is this Abu Dhabi airline the "national airline of the UAE"??

Yes, you are right. The UAE is made up of many Emirates. Etihad, has a hub in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, and is also owned (at least partly) by the government

Cheers
