Memphis Questions

I realize that Graceland is in Memphis, I realize its on the Mississippi River and has riverboat gambling, I realize Beale Street is a fun place as well

But can someone tell me why else it would be fun to go to Memphis? What does it have to offer for visitors? or even those who live there?

thanks

The last big attraction for us was the AAU National basketball championships!

So I really can't help you much!

Watching the ducks make their entrance at the Peabody Hotel (downtown Memphis).

National Civil Rights Museum; Lorraine Motel

Drive to Oxford, Mississippi, home of Ole Miss. The campus and town are quite nice.

I thought all the gambling was in Mississippi?

Don't forget about Corky's BBQ.

Oxford is about 90 miles from Memphis. Very nice town. John Grisham's from there.
All Memphis-area casinos are in Tunica, MS which is about 45 miles south of Memphis. These are standard fare casinos, nothing special.
Redbirds games (AAA Cardinals teams) are fun.
Lookup Memphis in May activities (Music festival and BBQ fest).
