JFK Terminal 7

It's my first time flying in-out of JFK Terminal 7 (normally I go into EWR). Are the gates divided by security points or are you clear all the way around from Gate 1 to Gate 12 after security?

Thanks!!

For departures, once I've cleared security, my flights have not required gate-side screening -- with the exception of when haraSSSSment used to be done gate-side -- at JFK T7. So it is basically one security screening to get airside and then onto the gate to board the flight after you're done freely wandering around inside.

I was actually wondering whether you can walk all the way from Gate 1 to Gate 12 (basically all of T7) after security, without having to re-clear security.

You can walk the whole terminal, from Gate 1 to Gate 12 in about 5 minutes. It is a compact terminal to say the least. You can browse the few stores and buy a cup of coffee and dine at Chez McDonalds if you are hungry....

You can, and there is a little known/used security screening point on the right hand side of the lobby by business/first check in that takes your right to the Gate 12ish area. I often go through there regardless of my gate because I don't think I've ever seen a line there longer than 3 or so people and often not a soul.

Hmm, I must have been thinking of the terminal at TLS. Please disperse, nothing to see here. Just head right up the middle where all the big shiny screening machines are. Go into the light, go IN to the light....

I always try this one as well (it's facing the UA C/F checkin) but it was closed on my last trip through JFK (6pm, 12/7/2005).

Is it back open?
