So I thought I would link this here...

...since the Africa section doesn't get visited much, and since the trip report section doesn't either. Here's a glimpse of my less sophomoric side,..., and one can see from my avatar that I'm a very good looking, cigar chomping dude

Angola is a fascinating place at a really interesting stage of development. Having lived there recently, I'm always interested in seeing updated reports (especially reports like yours, rather than just the official "news"), so thanks for putting the link here. I'd offer some restaurant recommendations for future visits, but things are changing so quickly I'm sure my more-than-a-year-old information would be out of date.

The Ilha still seems to be the happening place for restaurants in Luanda. However, recently one of the places was robbed. The robbers looted the restuarant and all the patrons, stealing their jewelry, wallets, etc.
