Software for Fare Searching.

Are there any reccomendations for a software which would search for a good fare for a flight?

I am looking for an AA ORd-DAY for a weekend trip sometime in march and see the prices go up and down daily but i am unable to purchase at this moment.

Do you mean automatically check for fares or just a good place to look for fares in general? The site I work for, PriceGrabber.com Travel, along with the other aggregators out there can help you if you want to just continue checking for fares on your own. When you enter the dates, these sites will bring back results from many sites around the web in under a minute.

If you want something that will check automatically and report back, you can set up fare alerts at places like Orbitz where they will notify you when a fare goes below a certain threshhold.

How do you search Multi-Stop or Multi-Itinerary Flights on Pricegrabber Travel?

We do not have multi-city capabilities yet, but it will be coming. You can find multi-city capability on another aggregator, Kayak, right now.

Side Step

Side Step (www.sidestep.com) also shows you the results from a variety of sites. You can download their software and Side Step will create a side bar when you go to another travel site, with the results from other sites.

This doesn't automatically search for fares, but if you are going to search other sites anyway, you might find this useful. My cousin, who is a travel agent, told me about Side Step.

I used side step when it intially came out about 3-4 years ago. It installed so much spyware it left me with a sour taste. Now ive heard it doesnt install any spyware but im scared.... very scared! But I do use sidestep on the web often, and think its a great piece of software. Ironically it usually finds the cheapest fares on AA.com.
