Shower after flight...minimum flight time to yield a shower?

Whenever I do ORD to LGA, i feel like the flight time is short enough to enjoy my meal, relax, read a book, and land. But on longer flights, say LGA to DEN or a comfy p.s. flight, i get off the plane with a hunger to shower. How many other eccentric flyertalkers can i rely upon to obsess over cleanliness after a long, dry, flight?

It matters how fast one takes to shower.
When I fly on long intl flight, I usually get off the plane and head to the lounge.
I can shower, change to a fresh pair of clothes, eat breakfast, drink coffe, make a few calls, check my email and read any news in a bit over an hr. Though I usually allow 2.5hrs at least connecting time.

I think 4-5 hours is my limit.

On Saturdays, I've been known to shower & get ready at home in Chicago, hop on the 5pm ORD-SNA, land around 7:30 -- and friends are waiting to pick me up for dinner & a night out.

After any red eye, I won't do anything productive until I take a shower.

No minimum for me. I've taken showers even after 45 minute flights. And sometimes before and after when a little brat sitting in back of me decided to spill his glass full of juice on everyone in my row mid-flight.

I like taking a shower before and after any flight that exceed 5 hours. That way, I get to sleep faster and am fresher regardless of what happens upon landing.

If I get home that night, I got to shower, I just feel cleaner. Like I mentioned earlier, if its a connecting flight, ill take a shower before I get to my final destination (usually cause the next flight is less than a hr) and ill feel a lot better.
