Exclamation Multiple entry Visas (Taiwan)

I'm working in TPE, holding a multiple entry visa.

I want to travel to BKK on Mon for the day to see my new love. Asked my employer if I could do this they said they'd rather I didn't in case anything happens and I don't make it back for Tuesday afternoons meetings (does anyone think that is highly likely in the modern world?).

Following my heart, I'm thinking of going despite this. But there can be no mistakes!

The concern is my visa. It's a 60 day stay and at the moment needs to be extended so I can stay until mid March.

When I come back to TPE there will be a new entry stamp and embarkation card. Will I get another 60 days here and then be no need to extend? (my visa says entry before Feb 25)

If that's the case I may be "found out" when my passport gets sent off and employer gets told mine didn't need to be extended.

Does anyone have any advice on a foolish heart's plan? If I don't go I know I'll be stuck here resenting my work for 2 months...

Well for starters, you should say what country's passport you are holding. Then you should call that countries foreign relations office or check out their website for more info on Taiwan visas. Or check the Taiwan embassy in that country.

Ask on Forumosa

I can highly recommend the Forumosa on-line forum for English-speaking expatriates in Taiwan.

They have a lively "Visa & Residency Issues" message board where you may find more people with Taiwan experience.
