Hi guys, I'm going to Rome on the 1st Dec and gonna stay there for two nights. I've never been to Rome before and I don't know which hotel I shall stay as a traveller. I'm thinking any hotels close to city centre/Termini Station? Can I please have some ideas, I will be really pleased!!!

Thanks heaps!!
P.S hotel name and how to book it are needed, thanks

I stayed at the Splendide Royal and thought it was super and a very good deal - I also liked the location (close to Borghese garden and Spanish Steps). I would check on Venere.com to compare prices - and also check the hotel websites.

Your budget goals will have a lot to do with the relevance of any suggestions you might receive. The area near the Termini station is concentrated with some quite seedy properties, most of which are relatively inexpensive, but I think you could probably get nicer neighborhoods at a similar price, though perhaps not as convenient to the station, if that's important to you. That said, though, there are a couple of notable luxury hotels within a few blocks of the Termini station. In general, in the immediate vicinity of the station, as you head north, so do the quality and price of the hotels (which is not to say, though, that the worst/cheapest ones are south of the station).

I stayed in the Hotel Aphrodite when I was in Rome in March. It is basically across the street from the train station. It is definitely one of the less expensive ones, but I thought the rooms were good and clean. Also they have one or two computers set up for free internet access which was very important to me. You get the typical European breakfast included (cheese slices, meat slices, croisants, watered down orange juice, coffee). There are a lot of reviews on tripadvisor; I would definitely stay there again.

I stayed here when I was in Rome about a year ago. Nice property, reasonable prices for Rome, does not include breakfast but the rooms have kitchenettes. There are restuarants, a grocery store, a few buslines, a subway stop and the Vatican all within walking distance.
