Confused with a 1-way Fare Basis Code
On ExpertFlyer I found the fare code RLSSOWSG for SIN-SYD on 12/26/05 on QF. It is a one-way fare. In the fare rules, it says unlimited stopovers are permitted.
I've tried booking a multi-city trip from SIN-SYD-PER-SIN (with itn.net), on flights which have availibility in the R class. Here are the flights I chose.
12/26/05 QF32 SIN-SYD 09:00-19:25
12/29/05 QF575 SYD-PER 08:25-10:10
12/31/05 QF77 PER-SIN 11:25-16:25
I thought that this would be a SIN-SYD round trip with a stopover in PER on the way back. But it's pricing as with a fare code in the K class (1st segment), S class (2nd segment), and K class (last segment). I suspect I'm missing something in my interpretation of the fare rules. Can someone help me out and explain why I'm not getting the RLSSOWSG fare?
Thanks!

Is there a comparable one-way fare for SYD-SIN? Is the total of the two one-way fares more than the price that you've been quoted? Have you tried pricing SIN-SYD on a one-way trip only? It looks like the quote you've been given may have been priced as an open jaw SIN-SYD/PER-SIN, with a one-way add-on SYD-PER in between. Is the price consistent with that?
