ATL - BOM MR Request
Can anyone help me construct the best MR, any airline, since Im starting off with no FF miles. Although, I have a strong preference for Delta or BA since I have previous miles I think.
Also, I am looking for a reasonable ticket price for ATL to BOM between Dec 12-Jan 12. If anyone has any ideas? It looks like its tough to get a decent deal on the regular travel sites, e.g. travelocity etc.
Thanks in advance.

That's a tough month in which to be going to India. Holiday travelers will ensure that ticket prices stay relatively high. If it's a mileage run you're after, you should start with Travelocity's Dream Maps, then the ITA Fare Search engine, to find cheap, long-haul destinations. Both of these are described in this thread's stickies.
What's a "reasonable" ticket price to you? And why Bombay in particular? Also, what's your true goal here? Are you trying to get status and redeemable miles, or are you just looking for help in booking a cheap holiday ticket? Are you looking for both (two different goals)?
If it's status you're after, you should book your trip(s) after the first of the year, since mileage programs typically wipe the EQM slate clean on January 1. Since BOM will only get you about 17,000 EQMs, you'll probably need another couple of trips to get status on an airline. With cheap tickets, make sure they accrue elite-qualifying and redeemable miles.
Hope that helps!

Hi nomiles,
Welcome to Flyertalk & welcome to the Mileage Run forum! It appears that what you are looking for is fare assistance between ATL & BOM. Unfortunately, the mileage run forum does not allow such requests. A mileage run, in general, is defined as a trip whose main purpose is the airline miles - destination is usually unimportant. As you have a specific dates & a specific destination, its not really a mileage run. As we don't allow specific fare finding threads in this forum, I am going to move this to TravelBuzz where it is better suited. Should you find an ATL-BOM fare that you are comfortable paying and you need assistance adding connections to maximize the miles earned off of it, by all means, feel free to post in the Mileage Run forum - but questions regarding specific date fare finding does not belong in this forum. As you are new to FlyerTalk & new to this forum, I would recommend that you read the Welcome to the Mileage Run Forum thread to get a better idea of what is appropriate for this forum. In the meantime, I'm going to move this to TravelBuzz.
Thanks & Welcome to FT!
