booking help : LAS-MLI

I can't seem to get home (LAS-MLI) for a "reasonable" price. Work has let me off from Nov 27 to Dec 5. I need two seats and I do have an unused voucher for $300 on AA. Other than landing at ORD and renting a car do any of you experts have any ideas to try? I have tried Expedia and Travelocity as well as the AA website.

Our son lives in Vegas and we were planning a week-end in Galena that he wanted to attend. He would have had to take these same lousy connections and fares into Moline. With no time off on a week-end he would have arrived at 1Am Friday and left at 1Pm Sunday - we decided that the price was not worth it for the amount of time.

I priced your route and days as well and came up with $650.00. For bargain fares your best route will be to Chicago with a car rental. You will save money even with the rental car and the travel time will not be too different even with the 3+ hour drive.

Hope they save some Turkey for you! :-)

Thanks for the reply. I already booked a flight into ORD for $186 and decided to visit the in-laws in Gary,IN before heading to the Quad Cities.
