LON-MCO help needed....
Hi guys,
Right, on September 2nd i need to fly LHR/LGW to MCO, i plan to spend a week in Orlando, then i am going to be leaving on the 11th to come back to the UK.
I am a member of VS Flying Club/CO onepass and AAdvantage. I want to maximise the amount of miles i get with preferance towards CO or VS. I also want the cheapest price ideally. I have a quote for LGW-MCO-LGW direct on VS for a good price. I am new to mileage runs and would appriciate any help from people who know there stuff.
Can anyone help?
Cheers, Chris

someone else may correct me , but i doubt you will get much help in someone searching for you, to find a cheap ticket for you, and thus save you personally cash and award you miles.
try a search on ITA and look at the above mileage run helpers

I've tried that and it keeps popping up at ridiculous fares!
While i dont expect someone to spend hours looking at it. I thought that someone may let me know of a lead on a good fare or something to help me out. Im sure everyone was newbies once, i've read through the MR help topics and i understand the basics but cant seem to put it into practice.
If no one wants to help thats fine and i can totally accept that, it just seems to be a very friendly place here!
I do apologise if i've offended anyone!
Cheers, Chris

Hi chris78cpr,
Welcome to the MR forum - unfortunately, requesting help for specific itineraries isn't allowed here. As you are trying to get from LON-MCO and you're trying to maximize miles, it would be okay for you to find a fare that you are comfortable with and then get some help here extending the routing. Just asking for help finding the cheapest fare for your itinerary isn't allowed here on the MR forum, so normally, I would just close this thread. However, since you are new to FT & the MR forum, I will just move this to TravelBuzz for right now. If you had a particular fare in mind, you could post the rules & class & dates, etc, of that fare and ask for help, but as for finding an overall cheap fare for your route, that isn't allowed in this forum.
Thanks!

Hope this is of some help.
You are an AAdvantage member. Book your ticket on AA.com flying LGW-MCO via DFW just now for 359.40 all-in (300.00 plus tax) and sign up for the Platinum Challenge - the mileage is 11,512 and you get 1 point/mile on the fare code "W" that they're advertising this fare - therefore you get PLT status on the DFW-LGW flight with the extra bonus of 100% - check out http://www.fewmiles.net/AA under the "undocumented" section.
If you do that, you get PLT status through February 2007 - sign up for the challenge to start on 1 September.
Bargain in my books (if my info is right!)
One drawback - you have to book this fare by the end of 11 August (it's already twenty past midnight so less than 24 hours!)
