I'm a student looking for a round trip flight or vaction package from NYC to Singapore, anytime in October or November.
I have been searching site after site for a fare that won't leave me with a large debt.(to go along with my already -near- crippling student loan debt)
Can anyone beat $780? the lower the better.
By the way... I have no idea where to post this. ^

$780 is a pretty good fare. I'd say book it and be happy.
But, how long are you staying in SIN? There isn't, IMHO, a whole lot to do in SIN. A couple days pretty much sees everything (twice) and its a long way to fly for just a couple days.

thanks for the reply. ^
This is the third vacation I've taken in my lifetime. I'm also thinking about moving right to singapore after my graduation.
I'm looking to spend week or two there to really grasp a small understanding of what i'm planning to get myself into. ^

Singapore is a great place for a short vacation.but moving there?
True transport and food are cheap but housing, cars, taxes are really in the high brackets.
Good luck

780 USD is a decent fare.
You might want to check the MR (mileage run)forum. Fellow FTers post many good deals/ promos/ fare mistake they find.
You can also check the ITA software website. It's a very powerrful/ flexible search tool. There are more explanation in the MR forum too (just perform a search).
Finally, you can also try to find cheaper tickets through ticket consolidator. For asian destinations, and since you are fkying out of NYC you might want to check travel agents in chinatown
