My parents started keeping track of my flying from when I was young (took my first flight at six weeks old HAM-JFK). They tracked distance flown, cities and airline. I took over a few years ago, and added a few extra bits of data such as aircraft types and class flown.
Problem is I have no idea, and neither do my parents, what aircraft we flew on years ago. A few are easy, such as very long-hauls that could only be done by 747s. But otherwise it's pure guessing.
So is there any way to find out what aircraft airlines used to operate on their routes? I thought old timetables, but I would not know where to get those. Any help appreciated!

I've a big collection of old timetables etc, (particularly the all-embracing OAG) and also enjoy the challenge of doing things like this off the top of my head first, then checking. OK, a boring anorak !
PM me with the list, or if you feel others will enjoy it, post here.

Try this link: http://www.airchive.com/ At the top, there is a searchable database of old timetables, etc. Good luck!
