AA to Delta in MIA

I understand that Delta uses H, and most (or all) AA domestic flights come into terminal C. Is there a connection between C and H? I will not have any checked luggage, so I would rather not deal with the TSA if it can be avoided. Thanks!

I think you have to go landside. A through E low are linked airside, for E high you have to go outside security but E high is rarely used since D opened. Probably more AA flights use D than C, but last time I looked you couldn't get to H airside (however I wasn't looking hard). The security lines at MIA vary from 5 minutes to 2 hours, depends on the time of day, the cruise lines and a few other factors. It can go smoothly but often does not.

There is a long series of moving sidwewalks, located lanside, that connects all of the terminals. It is located one level above the departures/ticketing level. Once you have exited the "H" concourse, the elevator is located opposite the end of the Delta ticket counter.

You can also walk on the main level, since you aren't encumbered with lots of luggage, but then you have to make your way through the teeming masses that lend MIA its, ahem "charm"

Bottom line is, you'll need to clear security once you arrive at the threshhold to your designated AA concourse.
